Since the beginning of our business, the philosophy that characterizes us is based on the principle of the care and appreciation of other people’s property at a fair price. Since 1909, our reputation, built on trust and reliability, has created a large and loyal group of customers comprised of large companies, international organizations and private clients (especially professionals). Today, with roots in the past and commitment to innovation, Bolliger evolves with the times to remain a leader in the sector.

1909

Arthur Bolliger opens the historical headquarters in Rome, Piazza di Spagna.

1915-18

Bolliger carries out the moving of the Austro-Hungarian Empire Embassy in Rome from the Palazzo in Piazza Venezia in Vienna.

1919

Bolliger purchases its first vans which are remnants of the First World War.

1928

Arthur Bolliger purchases warehouses in Via Casilina and on the banks of the Tiber.

1930

Bolliger develops its first network of European and overseas agents for door to door shipments with swap bodies.

1943

Bolliger houses the holy objects from the Synagogue of Rome on behalf of the Jewish community.

1950

Bolliger is among the founder of FIDI (Fédération Internationale de Déménageurs Internationaux). Today FIDI has 600 agents in 100 countries and it is the biggest trade association in the world.

1966

Bolliger moves its headquarters into the historic and prestigious Mignanelli Palace in Piazza di Spagna.

1970

The headquarters in Milan, Via Boccaccio, opens.

1974

The historic company Tanzi in Lugano, Switzerland, is purchased making it today, Bolliger and Tanzi.

1975

The headquarters in New York, with warehouses in Stamford Conn, USA, opens.

1975

The headquarters in London opens, which will purchase warehouses on Park Royal Road.

1975

Bolliger launches the new offices and warehouses in Via dei Buonvisi, Rome.

1980

The headquarters in Madrid, Spain, opens.

1982

Bolliger becomes Allied International's agent for Italy.

1985

Bolliger is a founding member of Overseas Moving Network OMNI.

1998

Bolliger Florence opens.

2000

Bolliger acquires the FIDI DAIM certification.

2002

Bolliger is the first moving company in Italy to obtain the ISO 9001 certification.

2003

Bolliger is awarded with the Allied International President’s Award.

2004

Bolliger moves its Rome headquarters to Via Fosso della Magliana.

2008

Bolliger moves its Milan headquarters to Via Pero, Rho.

2009

Bolliger celebrates its centennial.
